CFUW Clubs and Committees are encouraged to discuss, consider and debate the Proposed Resolutions and, if they wish, submit amendments to their Resolved Clauses. For guidance on how Clubs may review Resolutions, please see the documents linked below.
An amendment is a proposed change that is relevant to the subject of the Resolved Clause, is offered as an improvement, and does not introduce a new subject. At the CFUW Policy Session during the AGM this summer, the Resolved Clauses are the only part of the Resolution subject to a vote. You can submit suggestions regarding the Background, Implementation, and Bibliography in the “Other Comments” section at the end of the Amendment Form.
As in past years, amendments will be submitted through an online form. You do not need an account to use the form. You will receive an email confirming your response has been submitted.
Please complete an Amendment Form for each Proposed Resolution you would like to amend. All amendments must be submitted through the Amendment Form above no later than 12pm ET on April 30, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.
The Proposers will review all amendments received and will consider if such amendments should be integrated into the Resolved Clauses. Proposers will inform you by email whether your amendment has been accepted or not.
An amendment may be accepted in whole or in part, or it may be rejected. Similar proposed amendments may be combined to strengthen a Resolved Clause. If not accepted, there is still an opportunity for the Amender to bring the amendment forward for debate at the Proposers and Amenders Workshop on May 28, or on the floor at the Policy Session in July.
