Janelle is a lawyer in Vancouver, BC. Her focus areas are class actions for institutional abuse and class actions involving crown liability. In addition to her core class action practice, Janelle pursues individual civil sexual assault claims, both historical and recent.

Many of her sexual abuse cases involve institutions, such as religious organizations, school boards and government ministries. Janelle taught for several years at the University of British Columbia. She is highly regarded for her work in the socio-legal field, particularly in the areas of gender violence and Indigenous issues.
