Five area homes are showcased each year for ticket-holders to tour. The funds from this event provide important financial assistance to worthy female graduates from any local secondary school who are proceeding to a college or university program. Last year’s sold-out Homes for Scholarships Day netted over $38,000 for this worthy cause. This year’s tour is celebrating 50 years for this event in Orillia, with scholarships totalling $403,975 which have been awarded to 749 local women.
